泊秦淮
杜牧烟笼寒水月笼沙，
夜泊秦淮近酒家。
商女不知亡国恨，
隔江犹唱后庭花。
Mooring On Qinhuai River
by Du Mu (803-852 AD)The mist is hovering over the cold water, and moonlight over sands,
I anchor the boat on Qinghuai River near a cabaret.
A sing-song girl does not understand the grief of a conquered country,
She is still singing the Flourishing Flowers at Backyard across the river.
