永遇乐 京口北固亭怀古

千古江山，
英雄无觅，
孙仲谋处。
舞榭歌台，
风流总被，
雨打风吹去。
斜阳草树，
寻常巷陌，
人道寄奴曾住。
想当年，
金戈铁马，
气吞万里如虎。
元嘉草草，
封狼居胥，
赢得仓皇北顾。
四十三年，
忘中犹记，
烽火扬州路。
可堪回首，
佛狸祠下，
一片神鸦社鼓。
凭谁问，
廉颇老矣，
尚能饭否？
To The Tune of Yong Yu Le (Eternity in Happiness)
- Reminiscence of History at Beigu Pavilion in Jiongkou

In the everlasting mountains and rivers,
There is nowhere to find,
A hero like Sun Zhongmou.
Those dancing pavilions, singing terraces,
And all the great men,
Were swept away by the flood of time.
The green in the light of setting sun,
The alley that looked so ordinary,
Was once where Jinu resided.
Back to the old days,
Shinning spears and armored horses,
Leading the army he swept thousands of miles like a tiger.
Emperor Wen was hasty in his ambitious northern expedition,
And to pay homage in the Mountain Langjuxu,
Only resulted in crushing defeat and his looking into north in panic.
It has been forty three years,
I still remember,
The flames of war were everywhere in Yangzhou.
I can not bear to look back,
At the Bili Temple,
Crows crying and drums beating.
Who would be sent to enquire,
About the old general Lianpo,
Whether he still has a strong appetite?
