Most Mandarin syllables can be spelled with one initial followed by one final. Initials are initial consonants. In this video, let's learn syllables that start with the initial "b". We will study 27 phonetic components as well as the characters and words associated with them.
The phonetic components can wholly or partially represent the pronunciations of characters. There are so many homophone characters in Mandarin. However, in the vocabulary of HSK, most words are compound words. Fortunately, there are not that many homophone words.
