战城南
卢照邻将军出紫塞，冒顿在乌贪。
笳喧雁门北，阵翼龙城南。
雕弓夜宛转，铁骑晓参驔。
应须驻白日，为待战方酣。
The Fight to The South of Town
by Lu Zhaolin (about 635-689 AD)The general has marched out of the fortress made of purple earth,
The chief of hostile tribes Mao Du is in Wu Tan State.
The reed-leaf whistles are blown to the north side of Yan Men pass,
Battle array has been deployed to the south of Dragon Town.
Archers meander at night,
Armoured cavalry and black horses have been inspected at dawn.
The sun has to stop and wait,
For the battle is in the midst of ferocity.
