⬅️ 唐诗 Tang Poems

Liu Changqing (刘长卿 718-790 AD) was a poet during Tang dynasty (608-907 AD). He was known for his expertise on the writing of poems with five characters. He once called himself "the Great Wall of five characters poem". More than ten of his poems were collected in the Three Hundred Tang Poems. Unlike some of his contemporaries who got caught in the political turmoils during this period, Liu Zhangqing's life, both personal and professional as a politician, was relatively smooth. He also experienced a couple of setbacks with this career, but nothing dramatic.
