【语法点 1】 越 + A + 越 + B
"越 A 越 B" is used to say that when an action or event (A) continues, there will be a particular result (B).
"越来越" is a fix expression, meaning "increasingly; more and more".

【语法点 2】 越 + A, ……(就)越 + B
"越 A, (就)越 B" is used to say that as A happens repeatedly, B happens or becomes more likely. This pattern indicates that the change of A causes the change of B.
Tā hē de yuè duō, jiù yuè kě.
他喝得越多，就越渴。The more he drank, the thirstier he was.
Nǐ yuè shì zhèyàng xiǎng, jiù huì yuè nánguò.
你越是这样想，就会越难过。The longer you think this way, the more sad you'll be.
Tā shuō de yuè duō, wǒ jiù yuè bù xiāngxìn tā.
他说得越多，我就越不相信他。The more he said, the less I believed him.

【语法点 3】 A …… 跟/和/同 B 一样 | A 像 B 一样
"A …… 跟/和/同 B 一样" can express similarity. In this structure, the prepositions 跟, 和 and 同 are interchangeable, meaning "as...as".
"A 像 B 一样" can express "be like; similar; alike".

Wǒ chī dé hé tā yīyàng duō.
我吃得和他一样多。I eat as much as he does.
