Shì jūn shù, sī rǔ yǐ; péngyǒu shù, sī shū yǐ.
事君数，斯辱矣；朋友数，斯疏矣。
To remonstrate frequently with a monarch will lead to humiliation. To remonstrate frequently with a friend will make the friendship distant.
事 serve, be engaged in;
君 monarch, sovereign;
数 several, a few;
斯 then, thus;
辱 insult, disgrace;
朋友 friend;
疏 distant
